Have a question about Givingback.tech? No problem! You will most likely find the answers you're looking for here. If not, please do get in touch.
The only cost that we ask you to cover is that of the postage for the item you donate. With GivingBack.tech being limited to the UK only, this will be UK mailing cost only.
The beneficiary will no doubt contact you but there is no obligation to rectify the situation. However, we suspect any donor would try to offer an alternative item.
Please refer to our T&C's at the foot of our home page. GivingBack.tech is comprehensively insured as we suspect all donors and beneficiaries would be.
When you register your item there is a section for technical info and we would suggest posting a weblink or technical helpline there.
Not at all, though you can offer assistance if you wish to. All donors will likely have a facilties manager, or AV consultant that would have suggested the specific item requested so it's likely they will know how to install and use it.
Not as yet, but we know that an API (Application Programming Interface) will be needed in time. As GivingBack.tech develops we will likely look at investing into a multi-functional API system to aide posting of multiple products.
For the moment GivingBack.tech comes under the Together For Cinema CIC umbrella and has been part funded by Together For Cinema and it's partners. Looking ahead we expect management and development funding to come from industry partners at one of three levels - Founding Partner at £5,000, Strategic Partner at £2,500 and Community Partner at £1,000. All partnerships are valid for 12 months from date of commitment.
We have a strict registration process for a beneficiary that involves us checking their status, address and contact details before we approve them and can request any products. We will also make random requests for comment post donation from some of our beneficiaries.
Yes please. The more exposure we can get for the beneficiary, GivingBack.tech and of course yourselves, the better for us all. Good breeds good so please do promote...
Basically a financial commitment to support the initiative. We are a not for profit organisation so we need industry assistance to further develop GivingBack.tech.
For your annual donation we would offer you branding on the website, as well as social media acknowledgement of your support. We woudl also end you a GivingBack.tech Partner Pack for you to use as you see fit.
Go to the home page of GivingBack.tech, then click on 'Be a Beneficiary', and simply complete the application form. Once this is submitted we will receive notification, and then, following a few checks, we will approve you and then you can seach the items, and request what you feel woudl be useful.
None at all.
A range of items will be available from all corners of the Audio-Visual industry. As time progresses more and more items will be posted so please use the Search facility on the website to see what we have available, and in what categories.
We ask that all items posted must be in perfect working order, and are either, second hand, discontinued or B-stock AV products. Some will be brand new and still 'in box', but some will be in damaged packaging, some will be ex-display etc..., but all should be in perfect working order.
If for any reason the item is damaged in transit please go back to the donor and I'm sure they will try to find an alternative item to support you. If this is not possible, please dispose of the item responsibly and simply seach again!
Yes please, we positively encourage this! The more exposure for all parties concerned the better, and as we all know, good breeds good, so please do PR the donation and describe the difference it will make!
